The debate about how much of our human characteristics come from "nature"?

more shaped by social environment born into a family of abusive gangsta's with fundamentalist thinking - I rebelled and left home at sixteen but you cant run from yourself- Large scale benefits are that we can recognise & compensate for non effective socialisation - I think the role of socialisation could be to allow for free thinking citizens who are fulfilled in their lives rather than an Aldous Huxley type automaton (brave new world) whilst at the same time keeping us all as safe as possible.
